I forgot my password

Open the app and tap "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen. We'll email you a reset link. The link expires after 1 hour. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder. Still stuck? Email us.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iOS: open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → ReadyCitizen → Cancel.

Android: open the Play Store → tap your profile → Subscriptions → ReadyCitizen → Cancel.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until then.

How do I get a refund?

App Store: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, find the ReadyCitizen purchase, and request a refund.

Google Play: open the Play Store, find your purchase under Account → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history, and tap "Request a refund" if eligible (within 48 hours of purchase).

I bought Premium on iOS — does it work on Android?

Subscriptions are tied to the platform where you bought them. If you log in to ReadyCitizen on a different platform with the same account email, your premium status will appear there as long as we can match your purchase. If something looks off, tap "Restore purchases" in the app's Profile tab, or email us.

The mock interview can't hear me

Make sure microphone permission is enabled. iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → ReadyCitizen → On. Android: Settings → Apps → ReadyCitizen → Permissions → Microphone → Allow.

Also check your phone is not in silent mode (sometimes blocks mic) and you're not on a Bluetooth headset that's not paired correctly.

How do I switch between English and Spanish?

Open the Profile tab → tap "Language" → pick the language you want. The app switches immediately. Civics content stays in English (USCIS tests in English) — only the app interface and explanations change.

How do I delete my account?

From the app: Profile tab → "Delete my account" → confirm by typing your email. Account and data are removed immediately.

From the web (no app needed): visit readycitizen.app/delete-account and submit the form.

Subscriptions are not cancelled automatically — cancel separately via the App Store or Play Store first.

Is ReadyCitizen affiliated with USCIS?

No. We are an independent study tool. We use the official USCIS civics questions because they're public information, but we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing USCIS. For official information about your case, visit uscis.gov.

Inside the app: Profile → "Send feedback" — this opens an email with your version and platform pre-filled, which helps us debug fast. Or write directly to hello@readycitizen.app.
